Perhaps the most interesting bit of new information to arise is that Johnson &amp; Johnson has just released a COVID-19 vaccine that has been authorized by the U.S. FDA for Emergency Use. This is, perhaps, the most interesting piece of news, as it is the first single-shot vaccine to be released. This vaccination is good for those 18 and older, and it is rumored that this vaccine could produce less side effects <a href=\"http:\/\/docliens.com\/articles\/lets-talk-about-the-covid-19-vaccine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">than the two-shot vaccines already out there<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Johnson &amp; Johnson claimed to be hopeful that they can release enough of the vaccine to vaccinate up to 20 million people by the end of March and 100 million in the first half of 2021. The Biden administration did quickly comment and warned officials that the number of incoming vaccines would be uneven, so it\u2019s unsure how they will be distributed at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In other exciting vaccination news, LA County opened up the vaccine to allow anyone over the age of 50 to get vaccinated as of April 1st. And as of April 15th, the vaccine becomes available to anyone 16 and older. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In other COVID news, the CDC is suggesting that people \u201cdouble mask\u201d if they are using <a href=\"http:\/\/docliens.com\/articles\/should-you-wear-a-mask-a-century-old-debate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cloth masks<\/a>. Researchers found that wearing a cloth mask over top of a surgical mask can provide more protection. They also are urging citizens to choose masks with a \u201cnose wire\u201d (a wire that helps the mask fit more snugly on the nose) which will help prevent air from escaping out of the mask, to use a mask fitter over a disposable or cloth mask, and to make sure the mask fits snugly over the nose and chin both. They suggest more layers of material for better protection against the spread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CDC did announce that an N95 mask does not need to be layered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This <a href=\"http:\/\/docliens.com\/articles\/how-covid-is-changing-the-world-of-personal-injury\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">COVID pandemic<\/a> is, obviously, still new to all of us.
