In order to do this, Dr. Hoffman suggests \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.verywellfit.com\/how-to-do-the-bridge-exercise-3120738\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bridging<\/a>\u2019 which is a popular back stretch.<\/p>\n\n<p>To do this, start out lying flat on your back with your feet firmly planted on the ground. (See the example in the quick tip video above.)<\/p>\n\n<p>Use your feet to gently lift your lower back up off the ground \/ mat while squeezing your butt muscles and tightening your stomach muscles.<\/p>\n\n<p>Be sure to keep your head down and hold this for 5 seconds.<\/p>\n\n<p>Do this about 10 times a day to continue to <a href=\"http:\/\/docliens.com\/articles\/how-strengthening-your-core-muscles-can-protect-you-from-future-injuries\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">strengthen your core<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Why should you strengthen your core muscles?
