Back in high school, a young Sue Lim couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Her back hurt all the time. She had been to traditional doctors repeatedly with little or no relief. She was perplexed and so were her parents. But no one could fault her parents for not knowing what to do. As refugees from Cambodia, they didn’t know the wide array of medical care available in the US…including chiropractic care. Once in college and determined to find relief, Sue Lim eventually found a wonderful chiropractor who helped her immensely and provided the spark for her to start her own career in chiropractic. Fast forward to today and it’s the mission of Dr. Sue Lim, DC to not only provide comprehensive care to anyone in need, but to also spread the benefits of chiropractic to her own Cambodian community.
That’s why I’m so excited Dr. Lim has opened an office in Signal Hill near Cambodia Town and joined Doctors on Liens after working with our renowned chiropractor Dr. Kevin Kelley, DC. Dr. Lim has the amazing ability to connect with her patients with a compassionate, caring, laid back demeanor that puts them at ease. Because chiropractic care isn’t widely utilized amongst the Cambodian community, many times her patients’ first experience with chiropractic is following an auto accident. These clients feel nervous about starting chiropractic but Dr. Lim quickly puts them at ease. Many of them now keep treating as part of Dr. Lim’s maintenance program!
