Sickness: it’s a rather sensitive topic now-a-days, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic that devastated the world over the last couple of years. Naturally, this has led to a sort of health revolution where we are all focusing just a bit more on our health and wellness on the day-to-day. Naturally, we’re all just a bit more curious on what we can do to help strengthen our immune systems to prevent illness.

Dr. Maya’s advice may seem simple, but it’s imperative to help strengthen your immune system.

  • Dr. Maya recommends keeping hydrated by drinking lots of water. (Studies recommend men drink 15.5 cups a day on average while women drink 11.5 cups a day on average. Thought the baseline recommendation for everyone is 64 ounces a day.)
  • Dr. Maya suggests taking vitamins that will help increase your immune system. This includes taking Vitamin C, Zinc, and Vitamin D3.

So, this has been your daily reminder to drink lots of water and to keep up with your daily vitamins. Specifically, try to incorporate Vitamin C, Zinc, and Vitamin D3 into your diet.

All in all, it’s important to focus on your own self-care, whether that means doing yoga, stretching, taking vitamins, or seeing a doctor. It’s never a bad idea to take your healthcare routine seriously and put yourself first.
