There is no doubt that we are living in a scary time right now. People are suffering all across California, as well as all across the globe. It’s not enough to just say we care or we understand, so Doctors on Liens has taken the liberty of giving back to our community by lightening the load of all those currently suffering while continually looking for new and innovative ways to give back. Here are just a few examples from the last two months:
Lunches on Lawyers
Lunches on Lawyers is a community effort to feed the healthcare workers who are risking their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic. Doctors on Liens was proud to team up with Tork Law and Feher Law by sponsoring 160 meals at Los Angeles Community Hospital and at the Holy Cross Medical Center in the San Fernando Valley.
All in For Charity, An Expert Round Table Poker Night
Doctors on Liens sponsored and hosted two “All in For Charity” poker events alongside Expert MRI. Between both sponsored games, roughly $16,000 was raised and donated to charity. From the efforts of the first game by Doctors on Liens, Expert MRI, Mauro Fiore Jr, Michael Sanchez, Arash Khorsandi, Sahm Manouchehri, and Benjamin Drake, $6,000 was donated to the Honduras Food Bank for COVID-19 relief. On May 27th, from the efforts of the second game by Doctors on Liens, Expert MRI, Mauro Fiore Jr., Michael Sanchez, Gene Sullivan, Arash Khorsandi, Arash Homampour, Sean Azizzadeh, Farzad Yassini, Sahm Manouchehri, and Benjamin Drake, a $10,000 donation was split and made to the following three charities: Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, LATLC, and Children’s Hospital LA.
Laptops with Love
Laptops with Love is a charitable organization that donates computers and tablets to students in need. Doctors on Liens staff personally provided 7 working computers for the cause and found donors for 10 others. If you or anyone you know currently has a working computer or laptop that is no longer needed, please visit laptopswithlove.net to learn more on how to donate.
Doctors on Liens donated to the NAACP during this time of crisis. The NAACP is a civil rights organization formed to advance justice for African Americans. The mission of the NAACP is to “secure political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights in order to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well being of all persons.”
Doctors on Liens is looking forward to finding new ways to give back to our community during these ever-changing times. Please stay safe and visit our Instagram page to interact with our team members and to let us know how you are also giving back.
